Energy firm D-ENERGii has acquired office accommodation within Central Park – an East Manchester location that has undergone considerable regeneration in recent years. The property in question measures 12,000 square feet and the company is hoping to expand its workforce in the years ahead.
Shak Ahmed, Managing Director of D-ENERGii, has said:
“The new headquarters will help the business reach the next level, as we will be able to utilise the asset to increase the amount of energy we can import for our customers.”
The enterprise was founded back in 2002. Owned by Shak and Zico Ahmed, the brothers moved ahead with the help of savings and a loan from their family. The company specialises in providing energy services to hotels and care homes.
D-ENERGii employs more than 25 personnel already. However, it aspires to have a staff of about 40 individuals in six months or so. Furthermore, the managers of the consultancy hope that it will eventually be able to boast a team of 250 workers. If they take on even more people after they have attained that target, they may require more office space in Manchester.
Although the organisation concentrates on delivering energy to businesses, it also looks at ways in which energy efficiency can be maximised. D-ENERGii has received a considerable amount of backing from a major bank, which has enabled it to import energy from foreign sources. The bank has also assisted D-ENERGii with a loan to facilitate the purchase of the office accommodation in the Central Park business district.
