Retail firm Pets at Home has signed a lease to occupy office space at Stanley Court in Handforth, on the site of its headquarters.

The company has decided to take this action as part of its ambitious growth plans, and has signed a deal to move into a building located in Stanley Green Business Park that is managed and owned by Orbit Developments.

Stanley Court will give Pets at Home the new premises with 9,598 square feet of office space. Manchester city centre is just 10 miles away and these offices are located on the same site as the company headquarters, making it an ideal location for the firm.

It is believed that the offices will be able to house up to 90 staff members, allowing the company to expand this particular department of the business.

Orbit Developments is currently in the process of upgrading the three-storey office building, which will be refurbished before Pets at Home moves in as part of its investment programme. Further, Orbit will be carrying out ongoing maintenance work.

Pets at Home’s head of property, Graham Harrison, was pleased to announce the deal, explaining that Stanley Court will be primarily utilised as “a base for administrative purposes”, but will also function as a training facility for its customer services team.

The director of Orbit Developments, Paul McLeman, has also expressed his delight at being able to come to an agreement after a long period of negotiation.
