Property investment company Allied London has announced its first tenant to its XYZ Spinningfields office space in Manchester.
The tenant has been revealed as media and entertainment enterprise Global, which owns a number of high-profile national radio stations including Heart and Capital FM.
The company has signed a lease that will see it occupy 16,699 sq. ft. across the top two floors of office space in the new complex, which is set to open its doors in the autumn of 2016. Global has also said that it intends to utilise this space as a broadcasting studio for the likes of Classic FM and XFM. The move will see the company consolidate its current offices, which are located down the road and over the river from Spinningfields, in Salford Quays.
Furthermore, Allied London’s Chief Executive, Michael Ingall, revealed that the company is also in negotiations with many other firms and businesses who are interested in moving to the new city block, which is set to boast facilities such as conference rooms, coffee hubs, and even a cinema room and fitness studio.
Ingall also commented that he is looking forward to welcoming Global to the building as he believes the radio enterprise grasped the concept of XYZ Spinningfields immediately and looks forward to seeing how it engages with XYZ in the future.
XYZ Spinningfields is located on Hardman Boulevard in Manchester city centre, which would make it an ideal base for a number of companies seeking a location offering easy access to a number of resources.
