An office block located in Manchester’s Old Trafford area has recently been acquired by Quasar Real Estate.
Quasar, which is a part of the Jolivet Group, paid a sum totalling more than £1.75m for the property.
The building provides office space of 17,147 square feet over five stories and is located at 100 Talbot Road. The site is in proximity to some of the area’s major sporting grounds – the Emirates Cricket Ground and Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium – as well as prominent transportation links to the city centre in the form of the Old Trafford Metrolink station.
At present, the office block is let to legal firm Simpson Millar Solicitors, a part of the Fairpoint Group. The Talbot Road property is the largest base in which the firm operates. In 2015, the company signed a ten-year lease to occupy its offices.
Recent research has shown that office space in Manchester continues to be popular, with many businesses seeking out to rent or buy a property in the area. Furthermore, research conducted by CBRE, the company that has just sold the Talbot Road property, shows that the area is one of the more popular amongst businesses, with a combined total of over 700,000 square foot of office space being taken up for each of the last two years.
Office space take-up in the Old Trafford region has increased by more than 50% in the last five years, with an array of businesses setting up bases local to Talbot Road. Some of its neighbours include United Utilities, Kellogg’s and Greater Manchester Police.
