Plans for a building that will be part of the regeneration of the New Bailey area of Salford have been approved.
The new office development, which was designed by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, will complement the One New Bailey Development that was recently completed.
The project will see the construction of Two New Bailey Square, which is an 11-storey building made up of around 24,000 square metres of office space. Manchester businesses will also be pleased to know that as well as offering a huge amount of office space, the new building will also feature 830 square metres of commercial space on the ground floor.
Allford Hall Monaghan Morris has designed Two New Bailey Square to augment the effect of One New Bailey, which is home to the Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer law firm and the Menagerie restaurant.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, John Francis, the director of planning consultancy at DPP’s Manchester office, said:
“We are delighted to have achieved planning permission for both of these projects for English Cities Fund. It’s an exciting time to be involved in the regeneration of Salford and these changes reflect the current market trends and the changing cityscape of the area.”
As well as the new office space, Manchester and Salford residents can look forward to the completion of four brand new apartment buildings, comprising of 843 units, a multistorey car park, and a 33-storey tower. These were also included in the plans and have now been approved.
