A refurbished office block building that provides work space in Manchester has secured five deals – including three new tenants – covering almost 10,000 square feet of space.

Fresh tenants at Universal Square are negligence claims advisors UK Claims Surgery, chemical consultancy firm ZCT Consulting, and Base Red Technology, an IT distributing business.

As well as successfully attracting the three newcomers, the site owners also announced that two of the existing tenants have increased the size of their offices thanks to the building’s internal development.

DST Business Process Solutions, a technology services company, has expanded its office space to a 4,215 square foot suite, while courier Cargo2Go has added a further 156 square feet of space to its existing suite.

Between them, these companies now take up a combined total of 9,640 square feet of office space within the building.

According to the Manchester Evening News, one office agency surveyor, Andrew Rands, has said that the building benefits from a host of on-site amenities and Grade A facilities, which he suggested is otherwise lacking in Manchester’s city centre. He said he believes these facilities will continue to attract new tenants in the future.

The site, located on Devonshire Street North, in Ardwick, one mile away from the heart of the city, consists of five refurbished office buildings and features an on-site gym, restaurant and a secure car park that has over 900 spaces. As a result, more than 50 companies are now housed at Universal Square’s campus.
